Hand made from colourful telephone wire, this fun little wall hook features a cartoon Kudu; a member of the antelope family endemic to Southern and Eastern Africa.
The craft of Zulu telephone wire art is based on traditional basket weaving and was conceived by Zulu night watchmen, who would weave discarded telephone wire around their security sticks to keep themselves busy. This trend was then transformed by the women who then used the materials and technique to create colourful bowls, baskets and novelty items.
Important Order Information: Each Trophy Head is unique, with colour variations found on head, ears, horns, nose and hook. Colours are arranged using shield the heads are mounted, with all available variations shown in photo.
