Down to the Wire is an inspirational little company in South Africa who transform deadly and destructive snare wire into inspirational pieces of jewellery. 

 

 

 

 

We can think of no better end use for a material that starts as a weapon in the hands of poachers and ends in those of skilled artisans who transform it into jewellery and donate a percentage of proceeds from sales back to wildlife veterinarians to help cover the costs of treating and rehabilitating those lucky enough to have survived a snare.
