Noush Projects - Panga Doll - Top Knot Girl with Pangolin

$175.00
By Noush

Exquisitely crafted sculptural African 'Doll' of hand-painted cast resin.

Noush Projects is small bespoke artisan studio located in Durban, South Africa owned and operated by Dutch artist, Manoushka Kraal.  The inspiration for the Noush Dolls came from the iconic 1950's West African Clonette Dolls. Many considered them little angels that would look out for your loved ones and guide them through life.  Noush Dolls were created in that same spirit.

Like Noxi, Panga is tall and slender with a big sculptural top knot of hair but rather than a giraffe, she holds a gold pangolin.  She is barefoot in a black bathing suit and has bright red lips.

The Pangolin is shy nocturnal little mammal found in African and Asia, and sadly, is the most heavily trafficked animal on the planet. Game Rangers International, the elephant orphan organization we support in Zambia not only helps elephants, but is also heavily involved in human/wildlife conflict mitigation, community education and anti-poaching, which includes Pangolins.  As such, we will be extending our elephant/rhino donation program to Noxi and her Pangolin, so a portion of your purchase will be donated to conservation efforts in Southern Africa.  Please refer to our philanthropy page for additional information.

Each Noush Doll comes with a certificate of authenticity stating the name and production date.

As Noush Dolls are painted and finished by hand, it is possible for them to be ordered in a variety of different styles. If you are interested in customizing piece, please contact us for details.
