Founded by siblings in Hoedspruit, Limpopo, South Africa, Down to the Wire transforms reclaimed snare wire into unique hand crafted jewellery.  

This is a worthy and inspirational little company who's compassion for wildlife and concern around the devastating effects of poaching have built a beautiful product and a worthy story to educate us all about the illegal wildlife trade

 

 

 

 

 

Company Mission

 

Collect confiscated snares from anti-poaching units and private game reserve teams and transform the wire into jewellery.  In doing so, beautifully hand crafted pieces help spread the story around poaching, creating a beacon of hope from destruction 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Giving Back

Down to the Wire makes proceeds from jewellery sales available to veterinarians who donate their time and resources to help animals who have been victims of snares
